You don't need a full-frame housing to win. These contests reserve one or more categories for compact cameras (and sometimes smartphones), judged separately from big-rig entries.

Definitions of 'compact' vary — some cap the sensor size, others list allowed camera models or ban interchangeable lenses. The category notes on each contest page summarise what's allowed.
