Research notes
Entries closed on 1 March 2026. Winners are due to be presented at the GDT International Nature Photography Festival in Lünen, 23-25 October 2026. The 2026 fee and full category list could not be confirmed (search extracts mixed it up with GDT's separate members-only contest), so they are left out; the Underwater World category has run for about 20 years and appeared in 2025. The €45,000 prize total may refer to GDT competitions together. Official pages were read via search-engine extracts rather than directly.
